Your habits will destroy your business if you do not know how to control them. We all have bad habits. Some of us just have them worse than others do. We know what we are supposed to do, but somehow we always manage to do something else completely different. Why do we do it? Habits are routines of behavior that are repeated regularly and tend to occur subconsciously – according to Wikipedia. It means you do it constantly and it happens automatically without you knowing.
Have you ever stayed up late watching TV or doing something not productive and all of sudden you ask yourself “why I’m still up when I have to work early in the morning?” Yes, you officially have accepted you have a bad habit. It’s okay because most of the people out there have this bad habit. I know I do. It’s hard to notice and see our flaws ourselves. Usually, it takes another person to tell you in order for you to realize you have bad habits. However, the majority still doesn’t accept it after the confrontation.
Your business will suffer the consequences of having a bad habit. You have to realize it’s not only your business what you are ruining but it is also your life, your family, and your future. All those things should be more important than staying up late, drinking, gambling, and oversleeping. You know who you are. Most importantly, you know you need to make a change.
Can we control our habits?
Yes, we can control our habits. We can control everything in our lives except death, but you probably already knew that. There are many techniques to remove bad habits from our lives once we have accepted that we have them.
First, we need to identify the factors that triggers and encourages its persistence in our lives. Then, we need to remove those factors from our daily lives. It will be extremely hard at the beginning but it takes some practice and the help from your friends and loves ones to accomplish it. It is easy said than done but there will be a point in your life that you will have to make a choice. Hopefully, you’ll never get that point your life.
