By on January 12, 2013

LG announced at the CES 2013, the launch of its HECTO Laser 100-inch TV with Smart TV capability and Digital TV. The theater, which offers Full HD resolution, includes an immersive display and an external projection of reduced shot, which offers the ability to display large images at very short distances.

Havis Kwon, CEO of LG Electronics, said during the presentation of their new product:

The aim of HECTO Laser TV is taking projection technology for cinemas to suit the living rooms of our homes. The high-contrast images in the 100-inch screen offers the closest sensation to a cinematic experience.

In the past, it was necessary a considerable distance to project large images, where the space long required distance was a big disadvantage. However, the UST projection unit allows you to place the lens on the screen at a distance of 60 centimeters.

The HECTO Laser TV, which has Wi-Fi, features a digital TV tuner, access to applications like Facebook or Netflix and the ability to upload your photos, videos or music to the cloud of LG.

The device measures 14 inches tall, has two 10W integrated speakers. This system can run 25,000 hours of video without needing to be replaced, or what is the same, up to five times more than the rest of its competitors in the sector.
