Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures announced last Thursday that Colin Treverrow, 36-year-old director, will take charge of the fourth sequel of films about dinosaurs. Trevorrow debuted as a director of feature films with the comedy Safety Not Guaranteed in 2012.

Steven Spielberg is the Executive producer of “Jurassic Park 4”, to be released in 3D on June 13, 2014. Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver wrote the screenplay. They are the same screenwriters of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Trevorrow is the third director of the film of Jurassic Park. The two were in charge of Spielberg, while the third was Joe Johnston, director of the Captain America.

The popular dinosaur film has raised 1.9 billion dollars at the box office so far, since its premiere in 1993. The first version of “Jurassic Park 4” will be released in 3D format on April 5 in the United States.
