How to Create a Facebook Business Page

I cannot believe I am doing this. However, there is still many people out there that have no clue how to create a Facebook business page. Facebook it is no longer a place just to chitchat or comment on your friend’s lives, it has become a powerful tool for marketing and advertising for businesses. If you are not taking advantage of this, you are losing a fortune.

Facebook helps your business promoting a new product, promotion, or anything new might have on mind. It is the first place your loyal customers will look. Also, it helps you reach more customers with their advertisement program. It is excellent and we love it.  I’ll be making another tip on that soon.

Search engines love Facebook. Especially, if the name of your business is a phrase commonly used. If it is not, don’t worry you will still appear on top when they search for your business name. Once you you page set up don’t forget to start posting valuable post and never spam is “NO BUENO.”

Here are the instructions on how to create a Facebook business page:

1) Choose a category

Click on the following URL in a new tab to create your business page on Facebook:

Once there, choose from one of the following six classifications:

  • Local business or place
  • Artist, band, or public figure
  • Company, organization, or institution
  • Entertainment
  • Brand or product
  • Cause of community

2) Write your ‘About’ section in a sentence about your business so people understand what you do. Make it descriptive but brief.

3) Pick a logo or another image that people associate with your business to use as a profile picture. The actual dimension of your profile picture is 180X180 pixels. This will shrink on your page to appear as
125X125 pixels.

4) Set a memorable web address for your Page that you can use on marketing material to promote your presence on Facebook.

5) Choose a cover photo that represents your brand and displays your product or service. It is the first thing people will see when they visit your Page. The exact dimensions of this cover photo are 851X315 pixels. Be sure to select a creative horizontal image that will appeal to users who land on your page.
